Mr. McCormick is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at HCI Equity Partners and oversees the origination, management and development of the firm’s investments. Mr. McCormick joined the HCI team in 1999 and has served as a Managing Partner since 2006.

Before joining HCI, Mr. McCormick worked in the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley & Co., where he was involved in the completion of numerous mergers and acquisitions and acquisition-related financing transactions. Mr. McCormick previously served as a Captain in the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division, receiving numerous awards for performance and achievement.

Mr. McCormick serves as a board member of Team Red White and Blue and Bunker Labs, both veterans service organizations, and is a Henry Crown Fellow.

Mr. McCormick received his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Prior to joining ICV, Mr. Metz was an investment professional with the New York based private equity firm Warburg Pincus. Mr. Metz was involved in investments across all stages of corporate development, from venture financings to acquisitions as going-private transactions. At Warburg, Mr. Metz was a director of several private and public companies. 

Prior to Warburg Pincus, Mr. Metz was in the High Yield Capital Markets group at Morgan Stanley and worked in the equity capital markets and mergers and acquisitions groups at JPMorgan. Mr. Metz has a BS degree in industrial engineering from Stanford University and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Sean is the Founder and CEO of BluWave where he leads overall strategy and related sales, marketing, and operational activities.

Sean is a ~20-year veteran of the private equity industry. Prior to founding BluWave, he was a Partner and member of the Investment Committee of SFW Capital Partners, a leading middle market private equity firm in New York specializing in information, data, and network enabled businesses. At SFW, he managed the origination, assessment, execution, and ongoing support of portfolio company investments.

He serves on the Board of Directors of Sachem Inc. and previously served on the Board of Directors of AGDATA, MD Buyline, Spectro Scientific, Ampac Packaging, FTI, and Alpha Sintered Metals.

Sean received his MBA from Columbia Business School and BSBA from Georgetown University.
